CARE have announced that their new Risk Management Analysis Tool, ‘eAudit’, was shortlisted for the 2008 Insurance Times Risk Management Initiative of the Year Award.
CARE began the tool’s development in 2007 in light of the (then) incoming Corporate Manslaughter & Corporate Homicide legislation. It has been designed to assist clients to audit their Health & Safety procedures. Product Manager, Glenn Trafford said:
“The care sector is a specialist area and many service providers operate a number of facilities in different locations. Health & Safety management is therefore often very difficult.”
CARE recognised a need for a product that would:
- Be easy to use
- Provide Health & Safety guidance
- Operate without the need for specialist software
- Work as effectively for a single care home as it does for a group of 100+ homes
- Be cost-effective for a sector that is under considerable financial pressure.
This online auditing tool means that with simply an internet connection, the system becomes a powerful tool in the armoury of the risk and safety committees of CARE clients.
Following an intensive period of design and development, this innovative new ‘eAudit’ tool is complete and it has already received commendation from a range of care organisations.
John Rabin, CARE’s (then) Head of Sales and Marketing, was presented with the Insurance Times Awards Finalist’s Certificate at a ceremony in October, 2008.
The final Insurance Times Awards Ceremony took place at Birmingham’s
Hilton Metropole on 5th December 2008. Although eAudit did not win its category, the CARE Team were very pleased to have been shortlisted.
