Will psychiatrists and physiologists be covered automatically under my Medical Malpractice Cover?
No, typically these professionals are covered by the Medical Defence Unit.
However in circumstances where a professional is provided to you from another organisation and cover is a contractual requirement, we can use our expertise to can ensure the correct level of cover.

Does the nature and history of the service user influence cover and your recommendations?
Yes, all insurers have different acceptance criteria. For example, all service users with criminal convictions will need to be declared together with those who have emotional or behavioural difficulties.
CARE currently look after clients who run secure units and we even arrange cover for one of the largest prison healthcare providers. This experience makes CARE well placed to handle all types of service user.

What are CARE's capabilities regarding risk management assistance and added value services that you can provide?
CARE have developed a new online risk assessment tool, 'eAudit'. This involves completing a series of questions centred on four areas:
- Safety at the premises
- Training and evidencing
- Organisational impact on the community
- Health & Safety compliance
